I like traveling so decided to take a trip out west to the mountains and stop by and see niece Gale near Billings, MT on a horse ranch.

This trip was Sept. 2008 and was a great trip and I went through Yellowstone, visited niece Gale at a horse ranch and spent two nights with her in some beautiful country, I did some hiking in the hills and got to gaze at some pretty horses and some wildlife out there.  Also visited Marty Welch at his beautiful mountain home east of Helena Montana, such pretty country here and I really enjoyed the adventure.

Note, the first post is at the bottom so start at the bottom to follow the trip.

Mammoth Hot Springs again from a little farther out.

Terraces at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone, don't know if water runs here sometimes or not.

A group in Yellowstone Park going out on the trail, from the looks of things they were going to be out there for awhile.

These mountains are Mt. Princeton on the right and Mt. Antero on the left, Antero is slightly taller than Princeton. I have been on top of Antero twice in the 70's. I don't think I could make it up there again. This shot was from the highway between Buena Vista and Salida, CO.  Yes I did make it to Buena Vista today.  My wife and I made a trip out west in 2013 in September and spent 3 days in the area.
Note: last post is at top:

If your old enough you can remember watching Wyatt Earp on TV,,,,, I didn't know they named a street after him though.  I was on my way back to Florida when I traveled through here.

Since I left St. Elmo and the campground at 2:30 in the morning I drove all the way out of Colorado and into Kansas and went through Dodge City and actually went on to Joplin, Missouri where I stayed overnight.  It was cold at 10,000 feet around St. Elmo and I couldn't get warm so got up and left for home!

I got so cold at the Iron City Campground that I decided to leave at 2:30 in the morning, HA,,,panty-waist I guess!
